Geoimaging LTD(GEO)
GeoImaging LtD (https://www.geoimaging.com.cy) is an SME based in Nicosia, the capital of Cyprus. The company was established in 2002 and since then it offers scientific and professional solutions in the area of ICT and Geoinformatics. The area of projects’ that GeoImaging is acting includes ICT and Geoinformatics, software development, web applications, databases & data mining, photogrammetry & computer vision, remote sensing, GIS, cartography, 3D modelling, Virtual Reality (VR) applications and interactive 360o applications.
GeoImaging currently has 10 employees of different scientific backgrounds, including engineers, software developers, ICT technicians and project managers.
The company has a wide portfolio in European co-funded projects. Especially, during 2007-2013, GeoImaging was ranked as the first company in Cyprus with respect to the number of FP7 projects.
Currently, GeoImaging is participating in the following international R&D projects:

In November 2017, as the project and scientific coordinator of the European H2020 research project LARA, GeoImaging
received the European Satellite Navigation Competition (ESNC) 2017 award (Madrid Challenge).
The quality management system of GeoImaging Ltd has been implemented in 2013 and is fully compliant with ISO 9001
standards
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTh): is the largest academic institution in Greece and one of the largest in
Southeastern Europe, covering all disciplines and scientific fields. AUTh comprises 11 faculties, 41 schools, and 311 laboratories, offering academic programs in science, arts, humanities, divinity, medicine, and technology. Approximately 80,000 students study at AUTh, including around 4,000 doctoral candidates. AUTh is widely recognised as the most interdisciplinary university in the country, offering a wide range of services in basic and applied research. Its main focus is on the fields of engineering, environment, information technology, psychology and health, humanities, education, history and languages, social and economic sciences. The university is known for its academic achievements and is a vibrant center of learning. The academic personnel of the University have received training from reputable universities in Europe, the United States, Australia, and Japan. The University has actively participated in the Erasmus Programme since 1987, accounting for approximately one-fourth of the total Erasmus mobility in Greece for both student and staff mobility. The institution is proud of its international role and active participation in international academia. AUTh is a member of all major academic networks globally and is a well-known academic entity. AUTh demonstrates intensive research activity and participates in European research programs and projects. Over the past five years, AUTh has gained extensive experience in project management and administration by coordinating or participating in over 5,000 national, European, and international research projects. The university has collaborated with more than 1,000 international partners from both the public and private sectors and has employed nearly 10,000 people, including permanent teaching and research staff, as well as external researchers. The strategic objectives of AUTh remain consistently high and oriented towards the continuation of its tradition as a pioneering institution, standing out among Greek and foreign universities in education, research, culture, and connection with society. At AUTh, research project management and coordination are subject to a high-quality management system (ISO 9001:2015). This ensures increased credibility and competitiveness, effective resource utilization, and compliance with specific requirements for service provision and product generation. Additionally, the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki
maintains one of the largest data networks in Europe. Development of the IT Centre at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki began in 1993 and it now spans all building complexes on campus and peripheral sites. The centre also operates a mediumsized institutional HPC infrastructure, consisting of over 30 physical nodes and more than 1000 CPU cores.
Technical University of Vienna, (TUW),
Technical University of Vienna, (TUW), founded in 1815, is the leading technical university in Austria. It deals with all directions of technical aspects from
natural sciences to spatial planning and architecture. TUW adopts the motto “technology for people” in research, teaching,
and learning. Major goals are preventing discrimination and enhance equal chances, and develop scientific excellency and
comprehensive competences. It comprises 8 faculties with 55 institutes and 2 departments and has 4,100 scientific
employees and more than 26,600 students (29.8% female and 35% international). TUW has vast experience in coordinating
research and educational EU projects and managing student+staff exchanges in various scholarship programmes. In
research, TUW is co-ordinating and actively participating in several
H2020-projects, currently has 22 Christian Doppler Laboratories, and received 37 ERC starting grants and 5 Wittgenstein
grants. TUW hosts VSC-4, a supercomputer originally ranked number 82
worldwide, as a joint project with University of Vienna, BOKU, TU Graz, and University of Innsbruck. The research group
Geoinformation of TUW has a tradition in GIS-related teaching and research. Research topics include spatial modelling and
spatial structures, mobile GIS data capture and usage, data quality, decision making, information communication,
augmented reality, and machine learning. The group provides 5 courses on bachelor level and 5 courses on master level. All
courses provide theoretical knowledge and practical experience on GIS and related topics. The topics are also provided to
students through bachelor and master thesis.
Virtual Solutions(VIR)
Virtual Solutions (VIR) is a creative agancy based in Kastoria, Northern Greece.
Virtual participates onto a number of projects evolving arround Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality together with companies around the world.
Virtual’s team has great expertise in the production of custom solutions and products for various industries like:

– Conferencing systems
– Internet of Things
For all those products , Virtual provides the full technical infastructure needed. Thus our team consists of both frontend and backend developers.
All of Virtual’s projects are accessible via the web, meaning they are based on web and browser technologies ,making them as widely accessible as possible.

Thinkplus (TPC)
The Laboratory of Geoinformatics (LabGeo) is part of the Faculty of Engineering, within the School of Spatial Planning and Development. The Lab is one of the newest established at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (founded in 2020) and is active in the fields of Geoinformatics and Geospatial Engineering. Despite its recent establishment, Lab members have extensive experience in research projects at both national and international levels. The Laboratory provides scientific solutions and conducts research in these domains. It is highly active in R&D programs, EU- and nationally funded projects, and also offers consulting services to public organisations and private companies. Over the last five years, LabGeo has implemented 15 projects, while it is currently running 9 projects, all funded by European, national, and private sources. LabGeo’s activities cover state-of-the-art knowledge and technologies, ranging from spatial and image information acquisition, processing, and analysis to representation and visualisation. Its project areas span Geoinformatics, Geospatial Engineering, and ICT, including software development, mobile and web applications, GIS, geodatabases and data mining, photogrammetry and computer vision, remote sensing and imaging, 3D modelling, geospatial technologies, mapping and cartography, navigation and surveying, and laser scanning.
